Biography

Dana Colvin, AGPCNP, is a board-certified adult/gerontology primary care nurse practitioner at CN Internal Medicine in our Lansdowne, Virginia office.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dana has been a resident of Loudoun County for more than 20 years. She began work as a certified nursing assistant right out of high school, and quickly discovered her passion for the geriatric population. She obtained her nursing degree in 2002 and began her career locally, at Inova Loudoun Hospital. She worked there as a registered nurse for 16 years and gained invaluable experience on the cardiac, medical, surgical, oncology, psychiatric and postpartum units.

Dana obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2014, and went on to graduate school at Maryville University, where she completed her adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program in 2017. She is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

A self-described “people person”, Dana truly enjoys meeting new people and forming new and lasting relationships with each of her patients. She wants to make a real difference in her community. In her free time, Dana enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach and traveling, and local events such as Oriole’s games and comedy shows.
